What’s On Sweat It Festival 2019

Spin, squat, stretch and sweat your way to a new personal best at Sweat It Festival on 19 May 2019. Find out what’s on at Scotland’s boutique health and fitness event, packed with inspiring master trainers, sweat-dripping fitness classes and much more.

Sweat It Festival 2019 in Glasgow is your ticket to as many spin, yoga and HIIT classes as your body can handle.

Live DJs will lay down a playlist to support your personal fitness goals. Focus on wellbeing with chill out tunes in the yoga studio or feel the big beats in our spin unlimited classes.

Blast Sessions

Our Blast sessions are 30 minute sessions where you can try out new classes that you may not of heard of or thought to have tried. Blasting music and classes of up to 70 people rocking it out to Cyclebox, POUND, ZUU and many more.

Our activity zones are classes and sessions that you can book into throughout the day. We will have sessions that you can book on the day too. We have a great range of activity providers this year. From the Mini Strongperson Competition from Glasgow Academy Fitness, to Cyclebox, Activ Scotland, Unite Fitness, Parkour Syllabus, to ZUU Fitness. loads more to be announced.

Cooking Demo – Sweat It in the Kitchen

We are curating some of Glasgows best Healthy Resturants and Chefs. Who will show us their new recipes and tips and tricks. Full details to be announced in the coming weeks.

We have a range of yoga types and some master classes in massage and pilates.  Information on the Yoga Den.

Chatter Zone

A great addition this year, given you time to catch your breath. Take in some inspirational tales and some great advise on well-being and general happiness.

SAMH’s Lets TALK Project

We are pleased to have partnered with SAMH this year. They will be in our information area. Emma Straughan is going to be talking about the SAMH’s Let’s TALK Project. It is a community engagement project that uses the 5 Ways to Wellbeing as a means to raise awareness around mental health issues. Being Active is one arm of this model also exercise is a great aid to relieving mild to moderate anxiety and depression.

Strength + Soul

Strength and Soul are a husband and wife team Joann and Kevin Buchan who are based in Central Scotland near Harthill just 30 mins from Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. Strength and Soul offer bodywork treatments in Kinetic Chain Release, Connective Tissue and Cupping. We also offer Ayurveda Diet and Lifestyle Consultations, Ayurvedic Massage, Yoga Classes, Workshops and Retreats.

They aim to help you overcome injury and illness to feel better than you ever imagined.

Jo will deliver a talk on Ayurveda. Ayurveda translates to ‘The Science of Life’  it’s the worlds oldest Medical System and a sister science to yoga.

Ayurveda aims to prevent disease and treat any dis-ease by recognising imbalances and identify the cause. Ayurveda recognises the root of all dis-ease is impaired digestion. We’ll discuss what it takes to improve and maintain a strong and healthy digestion. Ayurveda is not only about what we eat but how we eat and recognises that all of us are unique. What’s suits one person will not suit another. There are so many simple changes you can make and start to make Ayurveda part of your daily life, finding balance and lifestyle that works for you.

Imperium Mindfullness

One of them is Ashleigh from Imperium Mindfulness who will be running a Workshop on stepping out of auto-pilot, have you ever drove to work and wondered how you got there? Do you walk in to a room and forget what you went in there for in the first place.

Mindfulness helps us step out of auto-pilot and you will learn in this short half an hour session exactly how to do this…the 30 min session will include a breath and body mediation and include a short snippet of a 3 step mediation you can take with you anywhere!

Charline Jones

Charline Jones, Commonwealth cyclist will be chatting live in the Chewin’ the fat Zone. talking about how her experiences as a professional cyclist has helped her build her fitness business after retiring from the sport in October 2016.
Charline has recently launched a new online fitness programme called “Three HIIT wonder” which is all through Facebook. She has combined her knowledge of high intensity interval training and new found love of yoga to help people workout from home. She also teaches professional rugby teams and ice hockey teams yoga as well as holding her Sunday morning class for beginners.
You will have the chance to experience what Three HIIT wonder is all about as Charline takes you through a 15minute HIIT session followed by 25mins of yoga.
